Our Story

A Neighborhood Pizza Story Built on Family, Tradition, and Chicago Pride

Our Story Begins With Family

I’m Sal Paturzo, and together with my wife Alice, we opened Positano’s Pizza with one clear goal: serve homemade Italian food the right way. We believed that great pizza starts with care, patience, and recipes made fresh each day. That belief is still at the heart of everything we do today.
Proud Moments in Chicago Pizza History

Proud Moments in Chicago Pizza History

We’ve been honored to represent our food across the city, including the Taste of Chicago in 1989 and a pizza challenge at McCormick Place. Winning third place for our stuffed pizza was a proud moment for our family. Local festivals and neighborhood events have always been a big part of our story.

Why We Do What We Do

At Positano’s Pizza, everything is made fresh the day you order it, from dough to sauce to every preparation. Our mission is simple: serve honest Italian pizza that brings people back again and again.
